PORTS USB, PS / 2, Ethernet (RJ45). SERIAL, PARALLEL, SOUND, SATA EXTERNAL.

USB PORT
It's basically a rectangular 4-pin connector that allow transmission of data between a wide range of external devices (peripherals) with the computer; therefore is considered port.

PS/2
Connector type is usually used to connect the keyboard and mouse on PC. Currently many computers, especially laptops, do not bring more than the PS / 2 port, as many mice and keyboards come to the USB port.

SERIAL
A serial port or serial port is a communications interface digital data, frequently used by computers and peripherals, where information is transmitted bit by bit sending a single bit at a time, in contrast to the parallel port that sends several bits simultaneously.

 PARALLEL PORT
A parallel port is an interface between a computer and a peripheral, whose main characteristic is that the data bits traveling together, sending a packet byte at a time.

THE AUDIO PORT
The audio port has the function of capturing audio from outside, record audio, play sound to speakers and capture the microphone signal comprises a cylindrical connector with 2 or 3 terminals that allows transmission of data to an external device (peripheral), basically speakers and microphones, from computer.

SATA EXTERNAL

It is called port that enables data transmission between a (peripheral) external device to the computer. It is a port of spatial form with 7 terminals, emerging market, based on technology for SATA hard drives. And is integrated on the motherboard (Motherboard) and also through PCI expansion cards.
