SD:
It is a
memory card format Invented by Panasonic. It is used in portable devices such
as digital cameras, PDAs, mobile phones, laptops and even game consoles (both
desktop and the Wii or Play Station 3 (early models), as portable as the
Nintendo 3DS), among many others.
MICROSD:
Format
flash memory card smaller than MiniSD, developed by SanDisk; adopted by the SD
Card Association under the name "microSD". It measures only 15 × 11 ×
1 mm. This is three times smaller than the miniSD, that was until the
appearance of the smallest microSD SD media card format, and is about a tenth
of the volume of an SD card.
